Northern Serengeti and the Serengeti Migration Camp

The Serengeti Migration Camp is situated in the far north of Tanzania in what is the country’s oldest and most popular national park. It lies along Tanzania’s border with the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya and (together with the neighbouring Ngorongoro Conservation Area) has been designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The Northern Serengeti is a blissfully remote region of the national park where you can experience its exceptional wildlife viewing without the crowds.

NOT SURE WHERE TO VISIT IN AFRICA?

The Serengeti Migration Camp has been carefully designed to blend in with its natural surrounds and offers sweeping views from its wrap-around decks. It combines exhilarating game driving experiences with luxurious camp facilities that include a sparkling swimming pool and a sophisticated lounge area.

It provides a magnificent base for wildlife-watching on the surrounding plains and bushwalking through the rocky kopjes, with the game viewing outstanding even outside of the migration months. Aside from thousands of impalas, Grant’s gazelle, giraffes and buffalo, the park is home to lesser-known species, such as rock hyraxes, agama lizards and over 100 varieties of dung beetles. Twitchers will be treated to impressive birdwatching during the wet season, with more than 500 bird species recorded in the surrounds, including everything from black eagles to oversized ostriches.
