Inspired by the Swahili phrase for “suspended in mid-air”, Angama Mara is a breathtaking tented camp that perches high above Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. It boasts unparalleled views across the Mara Triangle while being on the doorstep of thrilling game viewing that includes the annual Great Wildebeest Migration.

This intimate Kenyan camp offers just 15 tented suites, all of which feature floor-to-ceiling glass fronts for soaking up the views. Polished parquet floors and stylish furnishings decorate the spaces while the private decks invite you to relax and just take it all in.

At the heart of the Angama Mara Tented Camp is the Pavilion where you’ll find a fitness centre and a sparkling swimming pool. Browse the locally-crafted artworks, clothing and jewellery in the curated gallery or visit the sun-drenched studio where Maasai women can be observed beading.

Angama Mara offers a variety of adventure-fuelled activities that include game drive safaris, hot air balloon rides and walking safaris led by Maasai warriors. A highlight of any stay is having a romantic picnic atop the Ololoolo Escarpment at one of the most beguiling film settings from “Out of Africa”.
