Positioned on the shores of an expansive fossil lake, Nxai Pan Camp overlooks the sprawling grasslands of Nxai Pan National Park. It features nine environmentally-designed, thatched-roof tents that face a watering hole, which attracts elephants, cheetahs, and migratory herds of zebras. Each is designed in a minimalistic, whitewashed style to reflect the surrounding salt pans.
Communal meals are served in the open-air lounge and dining area, which also features a well-stocked bar and an inviting swimming pool. In addition to daily game drives and guided walks led by San Bushmen, a highlight of any stay is a day trip to see the centuries-old trees known as Baines’ Baobabs.
What we love about the Nxai Pan Camp
• Environmentally designed and powered 100% by solar energy
• A great location for visiting the iconic Baines’ Baobabs, made famous by the 19th-century artist and adventurer Thomas Baines
• Incredible wildlife encounters that include seeing huge herds of zebras on one of Africa’s biggest annual migrations
