Welcome To Little Chem Chem

Known as the sunrise camp, Little Chem Chem lies on the eastern side of the Chem Chem - Burunge Wildlife Management Area (WMA). This intimate camp offers six elegantly decorated vintage tents, each with a large bedroom (three have king-size beds, two offer twin beds and there is a family tent), with a rocking chair and study desk, a vanity area with dressing room and an en suite bathroom with a shower and flushing toilet. Embracing an ‘Out-of-Africa’ atmosphere, each tent also offers a private fire pit with flames that seduce you as the sounds of an African night come to life all around to you.

Step out of the deep comfort of your bed and the cocoon of your luxury tent. Above you, the vast unyielding African sky; around you, an acacia-dotted landscape that stretches from horizon to horizon. Little Chem Chem is Big Game territory. See it from a safari vehicle in either the WMA or the Tarangire National Park. Or experience it from the thrill of a helicopter flip or hot air balloon ride. As a bird-watchers’ paradise it provides for fantastic viewing and photographic opportunities. The cultural elements are fulfilling and interesting – visit a local Maasai village to interact with the local community. There are so many choices with which to fill your days and nights – and an abundance of activities for children too. Be as busy or as quiet as you like…

Dining

Little Chem Chem highlights include breakfast and bush picnics, and sunset cocktails at Lake Burunge, with tapas and unforgettable views. Other meals are held around a long table crafted from a glossy tree trunk, and special attention to detail is given to the multi-course dinner and matching wines. In the calm of the dim light of dawn, gently wake up too early morning coffee in bed: fragrant hot coffee and tea and freshly baked cookies delivered to your door in a graceful wooden basket.
