Best time to visit the Serengeti Migration Camp

The dry season months of June through to October are generally considered the best time to visit the Serengeti, with clear, blue skies that are favourable for being in the great outdoors. If you want to experience the Great Wildebeest Migration, then coincide your visit for late July, August or September when large herds can be seen in the Northern Serengeti.

Light rains are experienced across the region from November through to March, followed by heavier downpours up until May. While this may lead to some disruptions to travel plans, you will be treated to exceptional birdwatching as migratory species flock from Europe and Asia to the lush, green landscapes of the Serengeti.
