Due to the vastness of this area, the wildlife may at times seem quite hard to spot. The best time to visit is during the months of June through October which are the dry season and around the Ruaha River. Ruaha is named after the Great Ruaha River which runs through it and serves as a major source of water of the birds and animals of this park.
