Melia Serengeti Lodge

Boasting spectacular views across the River Mbalageti and its surrounding grasslands, the Melia Serengeti Lodge lies in the heart of the Serengeti. It offers a range of beautifully appointed rooms and suites, as well as a suite of facilities designed for both couples and families.

Set across two storeys, the lodge has been architecturally designed to blend into its savannah surrounds, with natural materials used in its construction. It combines elements of Maasai architecture with colonial touches and a good dose of luxury thrown in.

The five-star facilities at the Melia Serengeti Lodge include a sparkling swimming pool, a pampering spa and a fully-equipped gym, as well as a kids space and meeting rooms fitted with the latest technology. A fusion of international and local flavours are served at the gourmet Boma restaurant while private dinners under the stars are an essential experience of any stay.

Conveniently located less than an hour’s drive from the Seronera Airstrip, the Melia Serengeti Lodge provides exhilarating game drives and walking safaris for guests, as well as unforgettable hot air balloon trips at sunrise.

Dining

The Melia Serengeti Lodge offers an impressive collection of dining establishments where you can savour African-fusion cuisine throughout your safari adventure. Sundowners, Tanzanian coffee and local teas are served at the colonial-style bar, with wooden furniture upholstered in natural fabrics to create the atmosphere of a Victorian-era club. You can relax beside the fireplace of the Maasai-inspired Boma restaurant to enjoy its superb a la carte menu or enjoy a romantic dinner under the stars with stunning views of the River Mbalageti. Bush picnics can also be organised on request, with a selection of starters, grilled meats and desserts surrounded by baobab and acacia trees.
