Classic Northern Tanzania Safari

On arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by a Vencha representative and transported to Ngorongoro where you’ll be staying at the Kitela Lodge. Take time to settle in and overcome any jet lag before dinner is served in the lodge restaurant.

Begin the day with a leisurely breakfast at the Kitela Lodge before departing for Lake Manyara National Park or Tarangire National Park. Both parks are underrated gems, with exceptional wildlife encounters away from the crowds. Enjoy a picnic lunch out in the bush before returning to the Kitela Lodge for dinner.

After breakfast at the lodge, you’ll depart for the Serengeti National Park on an unforgettable game drive. With the help of your guide, spot some of the myriad species that occupy what is Northern Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife viewing destination and home to the Great Wildebeest Migration. In the late afternoon, you’ll check into the Kubu Kubu Tented Camp, with plenty of time to freshen up before dinner is served.

Spend a full day in the Serengeti National Park, perhaps spotting some of the species you missed the previous day. If your visit coincides with the annual wildebeest migration, your driver/guide will take you to where the best sightings are before returning to the Kubu Kubu Tented Camp in time for dinner.

After breakfast, you’ll depart the Kubu Kubu Tented Camp and head towards the UNESCO-listed Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into what is the world’s largest inactive volcanic crater to experience its stunning natural beauty. Keep your eyes peeled for hippos, zebras and buffalos, as well as the long-legged flamingos that pepper the shallow waters of its lake. You’ll continue to the Kitela Lodge in time for dinner and your final night in Tanzania.
