Iconic Serengeti Singita & Four Seasons Safari

On arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by a Vencha representative and transferred to the domestic terminal for your flight to the Serengeti. Here you’ll be met by another representative for the short but scenic drive to the Faru Faru Lodge.

NB: Same-day domestic flight transfers are only available for international flights arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport before 1 pm. Later arrivals will require you to overnight in Arusha before a connecting flight the next morning or you have the option to take a private charter flight to the Serengeti on the same day.  

After breakfast at the Faru Faru Lodge, you’ll embark on a full-day game drive through the majestic Grumeti Serengeti. This privately held conservation area offers incredible wildlife experiences, with a picnic lunch enjoyed in the middle of the day so you can spend its entirety out in the wilds. You’ll return to the lodge with time to freshen up before dinner is served.

Wake early for a half-day game drive through the Grumeti Serengeti, perhaps spotting some of the animals you missed the previous day. Then return to the lodge in time for lunch and enjoy a pampering spa treatment during the heat of the middle of the day.   In the late afternoon, you’ll have the option to embark on a walking safari to get a different perspective on the Grumeti wilderness or opt for another game drive before returning to the lodge for a relaxing dinner.

After breakfast at the Singita Faru Faru Lodge, it’s time to check out and drive towards to the Fort Ikoma Serengeti gate where you’ll be joined by another Vencha safari guide. They’ll escort you the remainder of the way to the Four Seasons Serengeti while experiencing an action-packed game drive en route. You’ll arrive at this stunning lodge in time for lunch and have the afternoon at your leisure to settle in and utilise the facilities.

After breakfast at the Four Seasons Serengeti, prepare for a full day of wildlife spotting in the central Serengeti. Depending on the time of year, your safari guide will take you to the region that’s likely to offer the best animal encounters to coincide with the annual wildebeest migration.   From December to April, the southern Serengeti and Ndutu areas are the places to head to see the wildebeest calving, with predators never far away. If you’re visiting from May to early July, the wildebeest will most likely be mating in the dense, hilly woodlands of the Western Corridor before crossing the crocodile-infested Grumeti River. At some times of the year, the rich grasslands of the Togoro Plains to the north of the Four Seasons Serengeti becomes a hotspot for big cats.

Wake before sunrise and head to the launch site for an unforgettable hot air balloon safari. Slowly float above the wildlife-dotted Serengeti as the sun illuminates the landscape with the day’s first rays, then travel into the heart of the wilderness for a champagne breakfast. Your safari guide will then drive you through the nearby kopjes to spot big cats, which can often be seen amongst the rock formations and tall grasses.  

Return to the Four Seasons Lodge in time for lunch and unwind with a signature massage at the on-site spa. In the late afternoon, you’ll make the short drive to a spectacular sunset location to witness the Serengeti at its most majestic. After your sundowner cocktail, you’ll experience a bush dinner under the stars, illuminated by the soft glow of lanterns and a warming bonfire.
