Singita 1920s Explorer Safari

On arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by a Vencha representative and transferred to the domestic terminal for your flight to the Serengeti. Here you’ll be met by another representative for the scenic drive to the Sabora Tented Camp. This intimate safari camp exudes the romance and elegance of a bygone era, with en-suite tents that are furnished with Persian rugs, Zanzibari chests and delicate crystal.

NB: Same-day domestic flight transfers are only available for international flights arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport before 1 pm. Later arrivals will require you to overnight in Arusha before a connecting flight the next morning or you have the option to take a private charter flight to the Serengeti on the same day.

After breakfast at the Sabora Tented Camp, you’ll embark on a full-day game drive through the wildlife-filled plains of the Grumeti Serengeti. Spot a variety of animals with the help of your expert safari guide while enjoying a picnic lunch in the middle of the day. You’ll return to the camp with time to freshen up before dinner is served.

Begin the day with breakfast at the Sabora Tented Camp, then head out on an exciting half-day game drive through the Grumeti Serengeti. Your safari guide will help you to spot some of the animals you missed the previous day before returning to the camp in time for lunch.   

Enjoy a spa treatment during the heat of the middle of the day or a swim in the sparkling swimming pool. In the late afternoon, head out on a walking safari as the sun slowly sets before returning to the camp for a gourmet dinner and a night of stargazing.

After breakfast at the Sabora Tented Camp, it’s time to check out and drive towards the luxurious Sasakwa Lodge where you’ll spend the next few nights. Enjoy an afternoon at your leisure while taking advantage of the lodge’s facilities, which include a swimming pool and spa.

Relax with a morning at your leisure and the opportunity to catch up on some sleep, then spend the day enjoying the amenities and services of Sasakwa Lodge. If you want to get active, you can get a taste of the local culture during an optional community visit or just relax with a good book beside the pool.

Wake before sunrise for an early morning game drive to see the wildlife at its most active and witness a magical sunrise from Sasakwa Hill. Breakfast will be served out in the bush, with the opportunity to wildlife spot while you enjoy your morning coffee. Spend the entire day game driving through the Singita Grumeti Reserve before returning to the lodge in time for dinner.
