The Singita Grand Safari

On arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by a Vencha representative and transferred to the domestic terminal for your flight to the Serengeti. Here you’ll be met by another representative for the short but scenic drive to your first Singita property – the Faru Faru Lodge.   

NB: Same-day domestic flight transfers are only available for international flights arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport before 1 pm. Later arrivals will require you to overnight in Arusha before a connecting flight the next morning or you have the option to take a private charter flight to the Serengeti on the same day.

After breakfast at the Faru Faru Lodge, you’ll embark on a half-day game drive through the majestic Grumeti Serengeti, a privately held conservation area that offers incredible wildlife experiences. You’ll return to the lodge in time for lunch and will have the afternoon at your leisure to enjoy the infinity-style swimming pool or spa.

Enjoy a morning of relaxation beside the swimming pool or in the spa, then depart on a late-afternoon game drive in search of wildlife in the Grumeti Reserve. Watch as the sun sinks below the horizon, then return to the lodge with time to freshen up before dinner is served.

On your fourth day in the Serengeti, it’s time to check out of the Faru Faru Lodge and drive to your second Singita property - the Sasakwa Lodge - enjoying a game drive and bush breakfast en route. After arriving at the Sasakwa Lodge, you’ll have the afternoon at your leisure to take advantage of the facilities before sundowners are served.   

After breakfast on your cottage terrace at the Sasakwa Lodge, you’ll have a free day to relax in the sparkling swimming pool or catch up on some reading. Alternatively, you may opt to visit an anti-poaching observation post to learn about the efforts being made to protect the Serengeti’s wildlife or embark on a community village visit to meet the locals.

Wake in the early hours and drive down Sasakwa Hill to experience a spectacular sunrise. Then continue game driving through the Grumeti Reserve to see the wildlife at its most active, searching for a pride of lions or herd of elephants lumbering across the landscape. Return to the lodge in time for lunch and an afternoon of relaxation before another late-afternoon game drive in the early evening.
