Wildlife and Culture Classic Safari

Begin the day with a leisurely breakfast before departing for Lake Manyara National Park or Tarangire National Park. Both parks are underrated gems, with exceptional wildlife encounters away from the crowds. Enjoy a picnic lunch out in the bush before continuing to the Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge near Ngorongoro where you’ll be based for the next couple of nights.

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll head out for a cultural experience in the town of Mto-wa-Mbu where you’ll have the opportunity to meet a local Chagga family. Learn about the life of a farmer in Tanzania and how to make banana beer, then continue to a Maasai boma to discover the nomadic lifestyle of this red-robed tribe. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to the Kilimamoja Lodge where dinner will be served.

 After breakfast at the lodge, you’ll depart for the Serengeti National Park for an unforgettable game drive. With the help of your guide, spot some of the myriad species that occupy what is Northern Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife viewing destination and home to the Great Wildebeest Migration. In the late afternoon, you’ll check into the Melia Serengeti Lodge, with time to freshen up before dinner is served.

Spend a full day in the Serengeti National Park, perhaps spotting some of the species you missed the previous day. If your visit coincides with the annual wildebeest migration, your driver/guide will take you to where the best sightings are before returning to the Melia Serengeti Lodge in time for dinner.

After breakfast, you’ll depart the Melia Serengeti Lodge and head towards the UNESCO-listed Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into what is the world’s largest inactive volcanic crater to experience its stunning natural beauty while spotting hippos, zebras and long-legged flamingos. You’ll continue to the Acacia Farm Lodge in time for dinner and your final night in Tanzania
