Days 2-4: Explore the beautiful Cape Town

The next three days are yours to explore Cape Town. Hire your own car or arrange private transfers from The Cape Grace and visit Cape Point Nature Reserve, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and the beautiful Constantia Winelands.

Other Cape Town highlights include the ferry ride to and tour of historical Robben Island, Table Mountain (hike up to the top or take the cable car), world-class shopping and gourmet restaurants.

Adventure is also never far away in Cape Town: there's great hiking, shark-cage diving, abseiling and even kite-surfing on offer, and if it all gets too much, simply head for one of the city's famous beaches such as Camps Bay or Clifton and kick back on a sunny day.

Day 5: Travel into the Cape Winelands | 3 Nights

Today you'll have a final delicious breakfast at The Cape Grace before enjoying a short private transfer into the Cape Winelands, the amazingly scenic region close to Cape Town known for its charming country towns, gourmet dining, and of course, wine tasting.

Arrive in the pretty French Huguenot town of Franschhoek and make your way to Le Quartier Francais, a luxurious country-style boutique hotel set at the heart of South Africa's gourmet capital.

Days 6-7: Go wine tasting in Franschhoek

Set in a fertile valley and surrounded by mountains, Franschhoek is home to numerous art galleries, concept stores, superb restaurants and wine estates. The welcoming staff at Le Quartier will arrange trips out to some of the local wineries for tastings, lunches and private picnics.

You'll also have time to fit in a round of golf if you want, or you could also take a trip to Stellenbosch, capital of the Winelands, for another round of wine and even choccolate tastings.

Day 8: Fly into the Sabi Sands | 4 Nights

Day 8: Fly into the Sabi Sands | 4 Nights

Say goodbye to the tranquil Cape Winelands as you are privately transferred back to Cape Town International Airport to catch a flight to Johannesburg.

On arrival at OR Tambo you'll board a charter flight and fly directly into the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, a famously game-rich private conservation area on the border of the Kruger National Park.

On arrival at the airstrip, you'll be met and transferred to the elegant Dulini River Lodge, a five-star private lodge at the heart of the Sabi Sands - keep your eyes open: the game viewing begins the moment you leave the airstrip.

The Sabi Sands has an exceptionally high density of game, which includes all the members of the Big 5. Other animals you will encounter include zebra, giraffe, wildebeest and a wide variety of antelope, while cheetah and possibly even the highly endangered wild dog make for special sightings.

It's one of Africa's best game viewing destinations and the next three full days are spent enjoying early morning and late afternoon game drives through the Sabi Sands Reserve - and since you're in a private reserve, you'll enjoy thrilling night drives too. For a different safari experience, go on a guided nature walk with an expert and armed ranger, do some bird watching, or just relax on one of the expansive decks and do some game viewing from the comfort of a chair.

Day 12: Arrive back in Johannesburg

Day 12: Arrive back in Johannesburg

Enjoy a final game drive this morning and another delightful bush breakfast before being transferred back to the airstrip. You'll then catch your charter flight back to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg for your outbound flight.
