Day 1 - Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at the lodge, it’s time to depart Arusha and drive towards Tarangire National Park, one of Northern Tanzania’s underrated gems. Keep your eyes peeled for herds of elephants, as well as large numbers of wildebeest, zebra and giraffe. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the scenic Tarangire River where wildlife come to refuel and spend the afternoon revelling in the stunning scenery.

In the late afternoon, you’ll check into The Manor Ngorongoro, a luxurious house on a 1,500-acre Arabica coffee estate near the town of Karatu. It’s a magnificent base for exploring the famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with wonderful views across the surrounding plains.

Day 2 - Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast at The Manor, you’ll drive towards Lake Manyara National Park, which was hailed by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I have ever seen”. Go in search of the park’s unique tree-climbing lions, with a picnic lunch served in the middle of the day so you can make the most of the wildlife encounters.

Return to The Manor in the late afternoon, with the option to embark on a horse-riding excursion around the coffee estate and into the surrounding hills. Dinner will be served in The Manor’s restaurant.

Day 3 - Ngorongoro Crater

Begin the day with a hearty breakfast at The Manor before descending into what is the world’s largest inactive volcanic crater - Ngorongoro. Spend the day game driving through this UNESCO World Heritage-listed landscape, with lunch served at a scenic viewpoint on the rim of the crater. Return to the lodge in the mid afternoon for some relaxation time or an optional treatment at the on-site spa before dinner is served.

2 Nights - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast at The Manor, it’s time to check out and head into the Serengeti National Park for an unforgettable game drive. With the help of your guide, spot some of the myriad species that call the Serengeti “home” or go in search of the annual migration (seasonal).   After your game drive, check into the Four Seasons Safari Lodge, with time to freshen up before dinner is served in one of the three signature restaurants.

What better way to end your final day in Tanzania than by getting a bird’s eye view of the Serengeti landscapes. Slowly float above the wildlife-dotted plains as the sun illuminates the landscape with the day’s first rays, then travel into the heart of the wilderness for a champagne breakfast.
