Serengeti In-Depth Safari

On arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by a Vencha representative and transported to Arusha where you’ll spend your first night at the Arusha Coffee Lodge. Take time to settle in and overcome any jet lag before dinner is served in the superb lodge restaurant.                          

NB: Depending on your international flight arrival time, you may be able to connect on the same day to the Serengeti. If this is the case, we will alter your itinerary to fit your schedule.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the Arusha Coffee Lodge before being transferred to the Arusha Airport to catch your morning flight to the Serengeti. Your safari guide will be waiting for you at the Kogatende Airstrip, ready to drive you to the Sayari Tented Camp.   Take time to settle into your tent and refresh before embarking on your first game drive. Return to the Sayari Tented Camp in time for dinner and a night of stargazing.  

Next day after breakfast at the Sayari Tented Camp, your guide will take you in search of wildlife, perhaps driving to the Mara River to witness its famous wildebeest migration crossing. Track the herds as they traverse the Lamai Triangle’s verdant grasslands, which provide a critical refuge for large numbers of wildebeest and zebra from July through to November.   

Return to the Sayari Tented Camp in time for a hot lunch before continuing to the Lobo Valley on an afternoon game drive. The permanent water sources here support an abundance of wildlife, as well as offering some of the best big cat-viewing opportunities in the northern Serengeti. At the end of the day, you’ll return to the Sayari Tented Camp in time for dinner.

After breakfast, it’s time to check out of the Sayari Tented Camp and begin a full day’s game drive towards the central Serengeti in search of the Big Five. Enjoy a packed lunch out in the bush so you can make the most of the exceptional wildlife-spotting opportunities.   

In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive at the Four Seasons Serengeti with time to freshen up before dinner at one of their signature restaurants.

Enjoy a sleep in and a morning at your leisure to take advantage of the Four Seasons Serengeti’s luxurious amenities. Take a refreshing swim in the pool or indulge with a pampering experience at the on-site spa.   

After lunch, you may opt for a short game drive to the Retima Hippo Pool where you can see a large pod of hippos resting and playing the shallow waters. Keep your eyes peeled for giraffes, elephants and buffalos that can often be seen on the banks of the river. Return to the Four Seasons Serengeti and get ready for dinner at one of their impressive restaurants.

Begin the day with a delicious breakfast at the Four Seasons Serengeti before heading off through the southwest Moru Kopjes area to spot elusive black rhinos. Learn about the history and cultural significance of Gong Rock and the region’s rock paintings with the help of a knowledgeable local guide.   

In the evening, experience a magical, four-course dinner served beside the pool, complete with wine pairings.

Begin your final day in Tanzania getting a bird’s eye view of the Serengeti landscapes during an early morning hot air balloon safari. Slowly float above the wildlife-dotted plains as the sun illuminates the landscape with the day’s first rays, then travel into the heart of the wilderness for a champagne breakfast.
