Gibb's Farm Lodge Ngorongoro

One of the most celebrated properties in the Ngorongoro Highlands, Gibb’s Farm is an award-winning safari lodge that nestles in gorgeous gardens. Its charming cottages exude a rustic atmosphere coupled with a good dose of luxury while farm-to-table dining experiences feature produce grown directly on the sprawling property. 

While Gibb’s Farm can be used as an overnight destination en route to the Ngorongoro Crater or after returning from the Serengeti, it’s a destination in its own right. Plenty of activities are offered for experiencing farm life, including guided walks, morning bird counts and high tea accompanied by stunning views. 

Aside from its cottages, the property centres around the original farmhouse that was built in 1929 and has been lovingly refurbished. There are plenty of nooks and crannies where you can relax with a good book, as well as spectacular sunset views looking across the coffee plantation and valley beyond. Once the evening sets in, the Tembo Fire is the place to unwind and listen to Maasai legends and tales of tribal folklore.
