Singita Old World Elegance Safari

On arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by a Vencha representative and transported to Arusha where you’ll spend your first night at the Arusha Legendary Lodge. Take time to settle in and overcome any jet lag or enjoy a short stroll around the city to get your first taste of East Africa.

After breakfast at the Arusha Legendary Lodge, it’s time to leave the city behind as you board a short flight from Arusha Airport to the majestic Grumeti Serengeti. This privately held conservation area is abundant with wildlife and the adventure starts immediately upon touching down with a game drive to the luxurious Sasakwa Lodge, which epitomises old-world elegance.  

Take time to relax in your beautifully appointed room or refresh with a dip in the swimming pool before departing on another short game drive at 4 pm. Spot wildlife as the day’s last rays illuminate the landscape, then return to the lodge for a gourmet dinner and evening at your leisure. 

Wake before sunrise to witness the wildlife at its most active during an action-packed morning game drive into the bush. Breakfast will be served in the wilds in what is a dining experience you’ll never forget.   

Return to the lodge in time for lunch, with time to relax beside the swimming pool and take advantage of the Sasakwa Lodge’s facilities. In the late afternoon, there will be the option to embark on a walking safari to get a different perspective on the bush or another game drive in search of wildlife.

Indulge with a morning at your leisure to catch up on sleep, then spend the day as you wish. Get a taste of the local culture during an optional community visit as part of Grumeti’s outreach program while learning about education, enterprise development and water management. Alternatively, wildlife watch from the privacy of your suite or relax with a good book beside the pool.   

In the late afternoon, embark on a final game drive through the Grumeti Reserve before ending with sundowners. Then return to the lodge for dinner served under the stars while enjoying the Sasakwa’s legendary hospitality.

After breakfast at the Sasakwa Lodge, you’ll be transferred to the local airstrip for your flight to Lake Manyara. One of our local representatives will pick you up on arrival for a game drive through this gorgeous national park en route to the famous Gibbs Farm Lodge.   

Spend the afternoon learning about their sustainable farming practices and just soaking up the beauty of the property or embark on an optional wildlife-filled game drive into the Ngorongoro Crater. Aside from spotting herds of zebra, wallowing hippos and myriad birdlife, you’ll get to experience the incredible natural beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage-listed landscape.

Begin your final day in Tanzania with breakfast at Gibbs Farm Lodge before heading to the Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre. Browse the diverse range of local artefacts on display and pick up some souvenirs or gifts to take home.   

After lunch at the Coffee Lodge, you’ll be transported to the Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return flight home.
