Nestled amidst the Kogakuria Kopje in northern Tanzania, Lamai Serengeti is a luxurious camp positioned just a stone’s throw from the Mara River. From late July to October, it’s on the doorstep of the Great Wildebeest Migration as millions of animals make their way to fresh grazing pastures in the neighbouring Maasai Mara National Reserve.
It’s divided into two areas - a main lodge that consists of eight rooms and a private lodge with four rooms - both of which have been skilfully designed with natural materials to blend into the spectacular surrounds. Carved wooden furnishings, earthen pottery and weaved rugs are complemented by modern amenities that include flush toilets, running hot water and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Meals at Lamai Serengeti are prepared by a talented team of chefs and delivered with full linen service featuring silverware and china. Begin the day with freshly made coffee or tea accompanied by baked rusks and biscuits, followed by a delicious picnic breakfast during your morning game drive or a relaxed meal upon return to the camp. Lunches and dinners include a diverse range of dishes featuring fresh meats, fish and poultry, alongside salads, soups and desserts made in-house. Bush dining experiences can also be organised on request, either out in the kopje or close to the camp. Soft drinks and house alcoholic drinks are included in the rate, with champagne, premium wines and luxury spirits extra.
